THE INSTRUCTOR:
Cat Candow was raised in Germany under her grandmother’s sewing table. She took her first stitches around age 3, attempting to make pants for her Teddy. Cat learned to read and write at the same time she learned to crochet and cross stitch, but with much more enthusiasm. She moved to Canada as an exchange student and stayed to complete her diploma in Fashion Design from the New Brunswick College of Craft & Design (NBCCD). She spent 3 years in England making theater costumes for a living. Since returning to Canada, Cat has spent the last decade doing all kinds of sewing alterations, mostly rescuing brides from ill-fitting dress disasters.
