Gather together with makers of all levels to learn new skills and celebrate traditional crafts and regenerative living. Whether you're interested in half-day workshops or multi-week courses, there's something for everyone! Located in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, we offer hands-on experiences in a variety of subjects, all taught in either the beautiful studios at the New Brunswick College of Craft & Design (NBCCD) or one of our partnering locations.
Intro to Photography – Stefano Barbera

Dates: October 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30, 2024.
In this intro to photography course, participants will learn core fundamentals including composition, lighting, exposure settings, colour balance, and flash. Instructor Stefano will work with each participant to understand the controls and buttons found on each of their specific camera models, as well as discuss different equipment to consider when getting started. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to create impactful images using desired photographic effects.

Regular ticket price (August 14, 12 pm – September 22, 11:30 pm): $235

Additional instructions: Students are asked to bring a digital or film camera with full manual controls, as well as a digital memory card or film and a full battery, and note-taking material. Optional items are camera flash and tripod. It is recommended that students also bring appropriate outdoor attire, as we will be heading outside from time to time.

THE INSTRUCTOR:
Stefano Barbera is a professional photographer and instructor with over two decades of experience in commercial photography and teaching. Stefano has taught hundreds of students basic as well as advanced photography through hands-on, engaging workshops. With a passion for nature and travel, Stefano’s personal projects include documenting diverse communities and wildlife. Stefano’s passion for photography is contagious and his custom approach to photography empowers students to create.

FAQ
Refunds
If a request for a refund is submitted at least 14 days before the course begins, you will be eligible for a 94% refund. A 6% deduction will cover the administration costs and stripe service fee. For refund requests made between 8 and 13 days before the course begins, a 75% refund will be granted. If a refund request is received within 7 days or less before the course start date, a refund will not be issued unless we can fill your spot with another participant. In the event that a participant cannot attend an in-person course due to illness, they can receive a Honeybee voucher for 75% of the value of their course that can be paid towards another class in the future. The participant will need to notify the Honeybee Coordinator before the course begins.
Cancellations
If a workshop is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances regarding the instructor facilities or low enrolment, a 100% refund will be granted to registered participants. If class is cancelled due to weather, the course will be moved to the following weekend (unless otherwise specified). If you cannot attend the new scheduled time, you will be granted a 100% refund.
