She studied Fine Craft: Ceramics part-time at NBCCD until 2019\, when she set up her own studio at home. Brenda Parks will teach you the basics of clay on both the pottery wheel and through hand-building techniques. Learn about the different pottery tools\, how to center on the wheel\, and work on finishing with trimming and glazing. We will start with the basic cylinder\, make your first cups\, mugs\, and possibly even a bowl! After attending a workshop at NBCCD and lamenting that it was over way too quickly\, she began studying Ceramics in the Diploma program at the college. She studied Fine Craft: Ceramics part-time at NBCCD until 2019\, when she set up her own studio at home. Currently she works in her studio creating wheel-thrown and handbuilt functional pieces that bring joy to her customers day to day\, and brings her peace in the work that she does.
