DESCRIPTION:HALF-DAY  WORKSHOP – May 2\, 2026 | 9:30 am – 12:30 pm\nCome learn how easy it is to grow your own mushrooms outside. Learn different techniques for growing mushrooms outside\, what kinds of mushrooms you can grow\, and how you can start your own mushroom garden. At the end of the workshop\, participants will leave with their own mushroom-inoculated log to grow their own mushrooms at home!     \nTICKET PRICING & MATERIAL COST: \nRegular ticket price (April 15\, 12 pm): $65 \n NBCCD staff\, faculty\, and current students  receive 20% off regular ticket sales while supplies last. Find the NBCCD Discount ticket below.  \nAdditional material fee: $25 to be paid to the instructor on the day of the workshop. \nAdditional instructions: Participants should bring protective glasses and gloves \nFAQ and refund information can be found at the bottom of this page. \nTHE INSTRUCTOR: \nAndrew Mathis is a regenerative design educator and consultant who seeks to empower people to cocreate a hopeful flourishing future for all. Andrew teaches courses and workshops on permaculture\, food forest design\, and sustainability\, and has worked with community groups\, First Nations\, and schools to design and implement projects that bring people together around growing food. Andrew lives with his wife Anna in an old farmhouse with their children Gibson and Juniper on the Nashwaak in the unceded territory of the Wolastoqiyik.
