THE INSTRUCTOR:
Brenda found her love of working with clay over the past 20 years in evening classes in AB, BC, and NB, while pursuing her career in policy and negotiations. After attending a workshop at NBCCD and lamenting that it was over way too quickly, she began studying Ceramics in the Diploma program at NBCCD. She studied Fine Craft: Ceramics part-time at NBCCD until 2019, when she set up her own studio at home. Currently she works in her studio creating wheel-thrown and handbuilt functional pieces that bring joy to her customers day to day, and brings her peace in the work that she does. She supplies retail stores, galleries, and attends craft shows, when she is not busy running her two teenagers to their various activities, gardening, and creating home-cooked meals for her family.
