a drawing of a horse running

4-DAY WORKSHOP – July 15 and 18, 2024 | Tuesday to Friday – 9 am – 4 pm

Learn to draw horses by understanding the basic forms, bones and muscles that make up equine anatomy. We’ll be taking a constructive-anatomical approach, looking at horse anatomy in comparison with other mammals, conceptualizing complex forms as simpler 3D shapes, and practicing drawing horses from photographs, 3D models and live animals. This course is accessible to anyone, regardless of skill level.

In this course, we will be working with traditional materials and working from life at a nearby, off-campus location, in Keswick Valley Farms.

Class schedule location:

Tuesday, July 15: NBCCD Campus
