Gather together with makers of all levels to learn new skills and celebrate traditional crafts and regenerative living. Whether you're interested in half-day workshops or multi-week courses, there's something for everyone! Located in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, we offer hands-on experiences in a variety of subjects, all taught in either the beautiful studios at the New Brunswick College of Craft & Design (NBCCD) or one of our partnering locations.
4-Colour Linocut Printing – Natt Cann
2-DAY WORKSHOP – October 24 & 25 , 2026 | 9 am – 4 pm
Join printmaker Natt Cann for an introduction to 4-colour reduction linocut printing. In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn the fundamentals of reduction printing, colour layering, safe carving techniques, and how to successfully print a multi-colour image from a single block.
Throughout the day, you’ll explore image transfer methods, registration techniques, carving strategies, and the printing process while creating your own edition of layered linocut prints. Class sizes are limited to six participants to ensure plenty of workspace and individualized instruction. All tools and supplies are provided.

Additional material fee: $50 to be paid to the instructor on the day of the workshop.
Additional information: If you plan to work from a photograph, please choose an image with simple shapes and limited detail, as highly detailed images are not suitable for beginner linocut printing.

THE INSTRUCTOR:
Natt Cann (he/him) is a settler-Canadian visual artist and printmaker whose work explores the haunting legacies of colonialism, industry, and environmental change across Atlantic Canada. Through printmaking, installation, photography, and collaborative projects, his practice examines place, memory, and contemporary Canadian identity.
Natt’s work has been exhibited across Canada and supported by ArtsNB and the Canada Council for the Arts. His recent projects include Forlorn, Knock Knock!, and the collaborative initiative Recollect, bringing together artists, activists, writers, and historians from across New Brunswick. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Mount Allison University and lives in Moncton, New Brunswick, on the unceded territory of the Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet) and Mi’kmaq Peoples.

FAQ
Refunds
If a request for a refund is submitted at least 14 days before the course begins, you will be eligible for a 94% refund. A 6% deduction will cover the administration costs and stripe service fee. For refund requests made between 8 and 13 days before the course begins, a 75% refund will be granted. If a refund request is received within 7 days or less before the course start date, a refund will not be issued unless we can fill your spot with another participant. In the event that a participant cannot attend an in-person course due to illness, they can receive a Honeybee voucher for 75% of the value of their course that can be paid towards another class in the future. The participant will need to notify the Honeybee Coordinator before the course begins.
Cancellations
If a workshop is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances regarding the instructor facilities or low enrolment, a 100% refund will be granted to registered participants. If class is cancelled due to weather, the course will be moved to the following weekend (unless otherwise specified). If you cannot attend the new scheduled time, you will be granted a 100% refund.
