Eco Printing – Alyson Scott

October 4 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
$52.00 – $65.00

HALF-DAY WORKSHOP – October 4, 2025 | 1 pm – 4 pm

Turn plants into patterns in this hands-on workshop exploring the magic of eco printing. Using a mix of dried and fresh flowers, onion skins, avocado pits, and other natural materials, you’ll learn how to bundle and steam botanicals into fabric to create a unique cotton bandana.

Whether you’re curious about natural dyes, sustainable textiles, or just want to spend the day immersed in nature and creativity, this workshop offers a slow, sensory experience rooted in curiosity and colour. No experience needed—just bring your love of plants! You’ll leave with your own eco-printed bandana and a deeper appreciation for the quiet stories held in leaves and petals.

THE INSTRUCTOR:

Alyson Scott is a passionate textile artist based in Sussex, New Brunswick. After graduating from the New Brunswick College of Craft & Design in 2005, she co-founded Legacy Lane Fiber Mill with her sister, specializing in alpaca fibre and producing high-quality, Canadian-made yarn and textiles. Over the years, the mill expanded to include a full-service weaving studio, custom dyeing, and machine knitting.

In addition to production work, Alyson runs a textile-focused retail space in downtown Sussex, where she offers fibre arts workshops and supports creative collaborations. Her work reflects a deep commitment to craftsmanship, community, and the sustainable growth of textile arts in Atlantic Canada.
