Gather together with makers of all levels to learn new skills and celebrate traditional crafts and regenerative living. Whether you're interested in half-day workshops or multi-week courses, there's something for everyone! Located in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, we offer hands-on experiences in a variety of subjects, all taught in either the beautiful studios at the New Brunswick College of Craft & Design (NBCCD) or one of our partnering locations.

Intermediate Ceramic Techniques!
Dates: Mondays
February 26, March 4, 11, 18, 25, April 1, 8 – 2024
Do you have prior ceramics experience? This class enables you to expand your knowledge in pottery and practice new ceramic techniques. Focus will be placed on increasing wheel throwing and trimming methods and may also include decorating skills. You will learn to attach and build by hand in a way that is enjoyable and fun. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to work with local artist Jess Kelly and nurture your inner potter.

Additional material fees:
On the first evening participants will be required to purchase materials below. Materials are available in the College Store.
Box of cone six clay – (price varies per box of clay). One-two boxes may be necessary. Pottery tool sets are available at the college store or students are welcome to bring their own set of tools

THE INSTRUCTOR:
Jess Kelly discovered her love for clay at 19, launching her artistic journey at NBCCD. With a diploma in ceramics, she’s been a pottery technician at NBCCD for 8 years. In 2015, Jess started teaching evening classes, welcoming all skill levels. Her inclusive approach and mentoring style have made her a trusted guide for aspiring potters.
As Jess looks ahead to 2024, she remains eager and enthusiastic about continuing her journey as an educator. Her commitment to fostering a vibrant and supportive learning environment reflects her enduring passion for both the craft and the individuals she has the privilege to teach. Through her dedication, Jess Kelly not only shapes clay but also molds the artistic aspirations of those she inspires.

FAQ
Refunds
If a request for a refund is submitted at least 14 days before the course begins, you will be eligible for a 94% refund. A 6% deduction will cover the administration costs and stripe service fee. For refund requests made between 8 and 13 days before the course begins, a 75% refund will be granted. If a refund request is received within 7 days or less before the course start date, a refund will not be issued unless we can fill your spot with another participant. In the event that a participant cannot attend an in-person course due to illness, they can receive a Honeybee voucher for 75% of the value of their course that can be paid towards another class in the future. The participant will need to notify the Honeybee Coordinator before the course begins.
Cancellations
If a workshop is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances regarding the instructor facilities or low enrolment, a 100% refund will be granted to registered participants. If class is cancelled due to weather, the course will be moved to the following weekend (unless otherwise specified). If you cannot attend the new scheduled time, you will be granted a 100% refund.
