Located in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, we offer hands-on experiences in a variety of subjects, all taught in either the beautiful studios at the New Brunswick College of Craft & Design (NBCCD) or one of our partnering locations.

Looking to explore a different art medium? Then join the 2-day Whimsical Mosaics Workshop and learn how to create mosaics with mosaicist, Sheryl Crowley! In this course, you will learn how to use bright, high gloss, ceramic tiles to craft your own whimsical mosaic creature.
During this workshop, you will choose your animal from several pre-made designs before diving into the foundations of mosaic making; learning how to cut and attach your own tiles to your design. You don’t require any experience, and all of your tools and materials are supplied. If you want to add your own personal flair, bring your own tidbits of glass, sea glass, china, beads, etc. Come and relax while you learn mosaics through playing with beautiful colored tiles!

Additional material fee: $25 paid to the instructor on the first day of the workshop.
Additional Instructions: Please bring safety glasses and a mask (for safely mixing grout) and old clothes with you. There will be a 1 hr. lunch break each day. Please, bring a box lunch or explore the many restaurants and cafes nearby the Craft School to find lunch goodies.

THE INSTRUCTOR:
Sheryl Crowley is a mosaicist and painter who creates works of art reflecting both the whimsical and contemplative aspects of the world surrounding her. She teaches art with both children and adults through workshops and school residencies. Her work has been exhibited in galleries around New Brunswick, in Alberta and online. You may find her mural installations at the YMCA of Greater Saint John and the Imperial Theatre of Saint John, NB. Sheryl lives in Saint John, NB.
Sheryl is a Juried member of CraftNB and past Board Member. She is also a professional member of both Canadian Artists Representation Le Front Des Artistes Canadiens (CARFAC) and ArtsLinkNB.

FAQ
Refunds
If a request for a refund is submitted at least 14 days before the course begins, you will be eligible for a 94% refund. A 6% deduction will cover the administration costs and stripe service fee. For refund requests made between 8 and 13 days before the course begins, a 75% refund will be granted. If a refund request is received within 7 days or less before the course start date, a refund will not be issued unless we can fill your spot with another participant. In the event that a participant cannot attend an in-person course due to illness, they can receive a Honeybee voucher for 75% of the value of their course that can be paid towards another class in the future. The participant will need to notify the Honeybee Coordinator before the course begins.
Cancellations
If a workshop is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances regarding the instructor facilities or low enrolment, a 100% refund will be granted to registered participants. If class is cancelled due to weather, the course will be moved to the following weekend (unless otherwise specified). If you cannot attend the new scheduled time, you will be granted a 100% refund.
