Gather together with makers of all levels to learn new skills and celebrate traditional crafts and regenerative living. Whether you're interested in half-day workshops or multi-week courses, there's something for everyone! Located in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, we offer hands-on experiences in a variety of subjects, all taught in either the beautiful studios at the New Brunswick College of Craft & Design (NBCCD) or one of our partnering locations.

Come learn how easy it is to grow your own mushrooms outside. Learn different techniques for growing mushrooms outside, what kinds of mushrooms you can grow, and how you can start your own mushroom garden. At the end of the workshop, participants will leave with their own mushroom-inoculated log to grow their own mushrooms at home!

Regular ticket price (March 1, 12 pm – April 14, 11:30 pm): $65

Additional material fee: $25 to be paid to the instructor on the day of the workshop.

THE INSTRUCTOR:
Andrew Mathis is a regenerative design educator and consultant who seeks to empower people to cocreate a hopeful flourishing future for all. Andrew teaches courses and workshops on permaculture, food forest design, and sustainability, and has worked with community groups, First Nations, and schools to design and implement projects that bring people together around growing food. Andrew lives with his wife Anna in an old farmhouse with their children Gibson and Juniper on the Nashwaak in the unceded territory of the Wolastoqiyik. On the weekends, they can be found in the garden, tending the bees, or foraging for wild mushrooms.
FAQ
Refunds
If a request for a refund is submitted at least 14 days before the course begins, you will be eligible for a 94% refund. A 6% deduction will cover the administration costs and stripe service fee. For refund requests made between 8 and 13 days before the course begins, a 75% refund will be granted. If a refund request is received within 7 days or less before the course start date, a refund will not be issued unless we can fill your spot with another participant. In the event that a participant cannot attend an in-person course due to illness, they can receive a Honeybee voucher for 75% of the value of their course that can be paid towards another class in the future. The participant will need to notify the Honeybee Coordinator before the course begins.
Cancellations
If a workshop is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances regarding the instructor facilities or low enrolment, a 100% refund will be granted to registered participants. If class is cancelled due to weather, the course will be moved to the following weekend (unless otherwise specified). If you cannot attend the new scheduled time, you will be granted a 100% refund.
