Have you been weaving for sometime and are looking to expand your knowledge? Is there a weave structure that you find interesting but are afraid to try? This workshop is for weavers who know the basics and are interested in learning something new! Come with ideas or structures that you are interested in and learn new skills in a supportive environment. If you have no clear project in mind, not to worry! After a discussion about your interests and what you want to do with weaving, Jacqueline will suggest some ideas from which you can choose.

Students should bring their own materials or purchase from the NBCCD College Store. Students should also bring the following:

Jacqueline has been working with textiles and weaving for over 30 years and a teacher for over 10 years. She enjoys exploring the interaction of colour and textures in her weaving in the creation of one-of-a-kind fashion accessories and woven tapestries. Jacqueline has participated in numerous residencies and has received recognition through grants, awards, and publications. Her work is often thought-provoking as well as visually delightful.
If a request for a refund is made between 8 and 14 days before the course begins, a 95% refund will be granted (5% will be retained to cover processing fees). If a request for a refund is made 7 days or fewer before the course begins, a refund will only be granted if the participant’s spot is able to be filled.
If a participant is unable to attend a course due to illness or family emergency, they may be eligible to receive a voucher for a portion of the course fee. The participant must notify the HFS Coordinator at HoneybeeFolkSchool@nbccd.ca as soon as possible. The voucher amount will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may be up to 75% of the course fee.
If a workshop is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances regarding the instructor, facilities or low enrolment, a 100% refund will be granted to registered participants.
If a class is cancelled due to inclement weather a new date will be set. If a participant cannot attend the rescheduled time, you will be granted a 100% refund.
