Gather together with makers of all levels to learn new skills and celebrate traditional crafts and regenerative living. Whether you're interested in half-day workshops or multi-week courses, there's something for everyone! Located in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, we offer hands-on experiences in a variety of subjects, all taught in either the beautiful studios at the New Brunswick College of Craft & Design (NBCCD) or one of our partnering locations.

ONE-DAY WORKSHOP – May 3, 2025 | 9 am – 4 pm

Looking for a stylish, hands-free way to carry your essentials during the market season? In this workshop, you’ll sew a crossbody bag with 4 zipper compartments – perfect for keeping your phone, keys, cards, and more organized and hands-free while you shop.
In the workshop, you’ll be able to choose from several material colours with lots of opportunities to mix and match to personalize your bag to your style. You will also get lots of practice installing zippers and zipper pulls and will walk away with a stylish, functional accessory you can be proud of!
This workshop is designed for intermediate-level sewists who are comfortable with basic sewing techniques, threading a machine, and following patterns. It is not a beginner or learn-to-sew class.

TICKET PRICING & MATERIAL COST:

Regular ticket price (March 21, 12 pm): $119 + taxes (HST)

Material fee: $35 to be paid to the instructor on the day of the workshop.

Additional instructions: Please bring a sewing kit.

THE INSTRUCTOR:

Diana has been sewing since a very young age, primarily clothing. In recent years, she has shifted her focus to working primarily with faux leathers, making purses and handbags. FAQ

Refunds

If a request for a refund is submitted at least 14 days before the course begins, you will be eligible for a 94% refund. A 6% deduction will cover the administration costs and stripe service fee. For refund requests made between 8 and 13 days before the course begins, a 75% refund will be granted. If a refund request is received within 7 days or less before the course start date, a refund will not be issued unless we can fill your spot with another participant. In the event that a participant cannot attend an in-person course due to illness, they can receive a Honeybee voucher for 75% of the value of their course that can be paid towards another class in the future. The participant will need to notify the Honeybee Coordinator before the course begins.

Cancellations

If a workshop is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances regarding the instructor facilities or low enrolment, a 100% refund will be granted to registered participants. If class is cancelled due to weather, the course will be moved to the following weekend (unless otherwise specified). If you cannot attend the new scheduled time, you will be granted a 100% refund.
