Located in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, we offer hands-on experiences in a variety of subjects, all taught in either the beautiful studios at the New Brunswick College of Craft & Design (NBCCD) or one of our partnering locations.

Dates: January 28, February 4, 11, 18, 25, March 11, 18 – 2025
Led by Alina Karmadanova, this workshop is designed to help aspiring illustrators uncover and develop their unique artistic style. Suitable for beginners and intermediate-level participants. Throughout the seven weeks, students will embark on a journey of self-expression, experimentation, and skill-building. From mastering fundamental techniques to exploring various mediums, each session will offer hands-on guidance and creative exercises tailored to individual growth.
At the heart of the workshop is the quest to find your own style. Through personalized feedback and constructive critique, participants will refine their visual language, hone their signature aesthetic, and learn how to infuse their illustrations with personality and meaning.

Regular ticket price (December 11, 12 pm): $319 + taxes (HST)

THE INSTRUCTOR:
Alina Karmadanova is a painter born in Siberia (Russia). She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Design. From 2018-2023, she was residing and creating in Shanghai, China. From 2022-2024 Alina was studying at Falmouth University (UK) and working towards her master’s degree in Illustration, online. From 2023-2024 she was studying Advanced Studio Practice in Canada, at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design. This program helped Alina to focus on building a successful career as an art practitioner and integrate into the Canadian art community.

FAQ
Refunds
If a request for a refund is submitted at least 14 days before the course begins, you will be eligible for a 94% refund. A 6% deduction will cover the administration costs and stripe service fee. For refund requests made between 8 and 13 days before the course begins, a 75% refund will be granted. If a refund request is received within 7 days or less before the course start date, a refund will not be issued unless we can fill your spot with another participant. In the event that a participant cannot attend an in-person course due to illness, they can receive a Honeybee voucher for 75% of the value of their course that can be paid towards another class in the future. The participant will need to notify the Honeybee Coordinator before the course begins.
Cancellations
If a workshop is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances regarding the instructor facilities or low enrolment, a 100% refund will be granted to registered participants. If class is cancelled due to weather, the course will be moved to the following weekend (unless otherwise specified). If you cannot attend the new scheduled time, you will be granted a 100% refund.
