Portrait for Beginner – Alina Karmadanova

February 7, 2026 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
$95.00 – $119.00

ONE-DAY WORKSHOP – February 7, 2026 | 9 am – 4 pm

Learn to draw and paint portraits with confidence in this full-day, beginner-friendly workshop focused on proportion, accuracy, and personal style.
Over six hours, you’ll move through both drawing and painting exercises designed to strengthen your ability to capture the human face naturally and expressively.

We’ll begin with pencil sketches to explore structure, measurement, and observation, then transition into looser, painterly approaches using watercolour or gouache to bring life and emotion to your work.
Rather than aiming for photorealism, this class emphasizes freshness, spontaneity, and character — helping you build habits that improve your sense of proportion and likeness over time.

Leave with a series of portrait studies, a sharper eye for structure, and a toolkit of exercises to keep developing your practice.
