FULL – Jewellery Making: Cuttlefish Casting – Mackenzie Russell

May 18 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

$89.00 – $119.00

ONE-DAY WORKSHOP – May 18, 2024 | 9 am – 4 pm

Cuttlefish casting is the ancient jewellery-making technique of using the back plate or cuttlebone of the ordinary squid as a quick and fairly accurate casting method. Using basic hand carving and molten metal, we will create a unique piece of sterling silver stock that will be transformed into jewellery that displays the intricate texture of Cuttlefish bone. Because the mold is exhausted following the pour, the items it yields are truly one of a kind. Dive into ancient art in this hands-on jewellery-making course!
