Located in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, we offer hands-on experiences in a variety of subjects, all taught in either the beautiful studios at the New Brunswick College of Craft & Design (NBCCD) or one of our partnering locations.

Learn Embroidery | Beginner Embroidery Necklace | Cat Candow

HALF-DAY WORKSHOP
Looking to learn hand embroidery? Why not try your hand at stitching a beginner-friendly necklace in this half-day workshop? This course, led by Cat Candow, will give you all of the skills you need to dive into embroidery. Learn several different stitches, including running stitch, three different flowers and french knots. You’ll leave the workshop with a little piece of wearable art, as well as all of the tools, materials and skills you need to continue with this very addictive and relaxing hobby. THE INSTRUCTOR:
Raised in Germany under her grandmother’s sewing table, Cat took her first stitches around age 3, attempting to make pants for her Teddy. She learned to crochet and cross stitch around the same time as learning to read and write but with much more enthusiasm. She moved to Canada as an exchange student and stayed to complete her diploma in Fashion Design from the New Brunswick College of Craft & Design (NBCCD). After spending 3 years in England making theater costumes, Cat returned to Canada and has been sewing, teaching, and making art ever since.

FAQ
Refunds
If a request for a refund is submitted at least 14 days before the course begins, you will be eligible for a 94% refund. A 6% deduction will cover the administration costs and stripe service fee. For refund requests made between 8 and 13 days before the course begins, a 75% refund will be granted. If a refund request is received within 7 days or less before the course start date, a refund will not be issued unless we can fill your spot with another participant. In the event that a participant cannot attend an in-person course due to illness, they can receive a Honeybee voucher for 75% of the value of their course that can be paid towards another class in the future. The participant will need to notify the Honeybee Coordinator before the course begins.
Cancellations
If a workshop is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances regarding the instructor facilities or low enrolment, a 100% refund will be granted to registered participants. If class is cancelled due to weather, the course will be moved to the following weekend (unless otherwise specified). If you cannot attend the new scheduled time, you will be granted a 100% refund.
