Located in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, we offer hands-on experiences in a variety of subjects, all taught in either the beautiful studios at the New Brunswick College of Craft & Design (NBCCD) or one of our partnering locations.

Join our immersive workshop and learn the art of bookbinding. This workshop is designed for bookbinding enthusiasts who are interested in learning new techniques for designing miniature books. During the workshop, we will use traditional bookbinding techniques to create books that are less than 3 inches in any dimension. You can customize the size of your books to fit your specific scale requirements. You will learn a couple of different techniques to make three books of various sizes. These miniature books are not only functional but also suitable for dollhouses, ornaments, and pendants. All the required tools and materials will be provided, but please bring a pencil and a pair of scissors if possible.

THE INSTRUCTOR:
Rhonda Miller is a bookbinder with over twenty years experience and she has an undying fascination with book structure and historical bookbinding. She does custom bookbinding, book repair and restoration, and paper marbling. While earning her Masters of Library and Information Studies degree, she studied bookbinding at the Dawson Printshop at Dalhousie University. Later, she continued to learn through a variety of workshops and courses such as the Paper and Book Intensive. Rhonda is owner and operator of MyHandboundBooks Studio and Scotia Bookbinding in Halifax. She teaches bookbinding and paper marbling at The Centre for Craft Nova Scotia.

FAQ
Refunds
If a request for a refund is submitted at least 14 days before the course begins, you will be eligible for a 94% refund. A 6% deduction will cover the administration costs and stripe service fee. For refund requests made between 8 and 13 days before the course begins, a 75% refund will be granted. If a refund request is received within 7 days or less before the course start date, a refund will not be issued unless we can fill your spot with another participant. In the event that a participant cannot attend an in-person course due to illness, they can receive a Honeybee voucher for 75% of the value of their course that can be paid towards another class in the future. The participant will need to notify the Honeybee Coordinator before the course begins.
Cancellations
If a workshop is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances regarding the instructor facilities or low enrolment, a 100% refund will be granted to registered participants. If class is cancelled due to weather, the course will be moved to the following weekend (unless otherwise specified). If you cannot attend the new scheduled time, you will be granted a 100% refund.
