TWO HALF-DAY WORKSHOPS – 1 PM – 4 PM, Saturday and Sunday

Looking to learn basketry? Sign up for this course with veteran artist, Anne Easby, and craft your very own pine needle basket! In this two-afternoon course, you will learn how to make a plain basket and how to incorporate beads and other materials in future projects. During this course, you will work independently on your own to complete a basket of your choosing (unless you need help with a larger basket). By the end of the second class, you will go home with a finished basket of your own creation. All materials are provided, just bring yourself ready to learn basketry!

FAQ and refund information can be found at the bottom of this page.

Anne Easby is a long-time resident of Fredericton. She has taught herself a variety of crafts from stained glass to cement works to chainsaw carving. Several years ago, while spending the winter in Florida, she discovered the art of making pine-needle baskets. One of the things that appeals to her is that, as is the case with most of her crafts, the baskets are all made with natural and recycled materials.
